Christmas at Disney World – Your New Holiday Tradition {Update 2019 Epcot Candlelight Narrators}

Christmas at Disney World is truly magical. Holiday celebrations are beginning to start resort-wide at Walt Disney World Resort.

Hollywood Studios – Flurry of Fun

Sunset Seasons Greetings

Hollywood Studios will warm your heart with so much magic. There’s a holiday projection show on the Hollywood Tower Hotel at Hollywood Studios. It magically transforms, bringing to life the characters’ stories. You will see Christmas scenes including Mickey and Minnie, Toy Story characters, Frozen’s Olaf, etc…

There will be special holiday touches for Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios. You will find it has already been decorated for the holidays. The popcorn has been strung along with green alien ornaments. Favorite characters are in their festive holiday gear. Just waiting to celebrate with you.

Christmas at Disney would not be complete without a visit from Santa or Santa Goofy. Be on a look out for them in Toy Story Land.

Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam!

Watch as the building and rooftops come to life. There’s a state-of-the-art projection show displaying scenes from Disney classics along with fireworks and snow. Snow, yes snow will complete the experience. If you want a reserved spot then the Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam dessert party would be the way to go. There are a separate cost and reservations would be needed. Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular dessert party will replace this for New Year’s Eve.

Not looking for desserts only?  How about dining with Minnie at Hollywood & Vine. They are serving up a special holiday dinner that’s sure to make the family happy.

Epcot International Festival of the Holidays

Epcot International Festival of the Holidays is from Nov. 29  – Dec. 30, 2019.

Holiday traditions unfold throughout the entire world showcase when storytellers share their customs and lore. Holiday Kitchens throughout the World Showcase, are also a must to sample the special seasonal recipes from across the globe.

There’s also the Holiday Cookie Stroll and Chip & Dale’s Christmas Tree Spree Scavenger Hunt. Be looking for the feisty chipmunk pair with their ornaments. Additional costs apply.

Be sure to end your day at Epcot with the new fireworks spectacular, Epcot Forever.

Don’t forget Santa and Mrs. Claus will greet guests at The American Adventure pavillion.

Candlelight Processional

The Candlelight Processional is a longtime favorite. A celebrity narrator tells the story of Christmas. Along with a 50 piece orchestra and mass choir. Moving experience you will want to make your new family tradition.

There’s also a dining package which I would recommend especially during more popular narrators or if you don’t want to wait in long, long lines. You don’t want to miss this so add the dining package. Trust me.

Epcot’s Candlelight Processional is held from Nov. 29 – Dec. 30, 2019.

Magic Kingdom – Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Cinderella’s Castle at Christmastime.

Christmas at Disney World would not be complete without a visit to the Magic Kingdom.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

This year come enjoy a new night time show: Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks.  Hosted by Minnie herself.  You’ll enjoy beloved Christmas songs.

Enjoy a special festive holiday parade, Disney characters caroling, special meet and greets, Holiday fireworks, and much more. Elsa will transform the castle. The icy dream lights on Cinderella’s Castle are not to be missed. Everyone should experience this at least once in their lifetime. Oh….it even snows on Main Street U.S.A.

Did I mention this is all complimentary? Serious, free yuletide treats and seasonal beverages throughout the Magic Kingdom. Come hungry! It is included within the price of admission to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

This special time of year you will find all of your favorite Disney characters in their holiday best. See characters you don’t see every day such as Jack Skellington as Sandy Claws and Scrooge McDuck. Plus, many more. Love the special holiday character meet and greets (so does everyone else so expect long lines).

There is a limited amount of top attractions open during the party. Which usually brings shorter lines for these rides than during normal operating times. So now is the time to ride Space Mountain over and over again.

Special limited edition Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party souvenirs can be purchased during the party. A perfect memento of your special Christmas at Disney World.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is held on select nights from Nov. 8 – Dec. 22, 2019.

Separate admission is required.

TIP – Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party officially begins at 7:00 p.m. but ticket holders can enter the park starting at 4:00 pm with their MVMCP ticket. This will give you a chance to hit the top attractions that are not open during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Animal Kingdom – Wildest in Christmas Decorations

You will find the unique Christmas decorations throughout Disney World at this park. Plus, at the entrance, there’s a huge tree decorated with ornaments of animals.

The Tree of Life will awaken with wintry tales along with heart warming holiday music.  Along with shimmering throughout the night

Come and party with Chip ‘n Dale at the Holiday Hoopla Dance Party over at Dinoland, U.S.A.

There’s an addition to Up! A Great Bird Adventure. Disney has added for the holiday season the story of Diwali, the holiday festival of lights in India.  Along with unique hoiday decor at Pandora and Africa.

Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail

This is the fourth year for Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail. This now is becoming a must-do. With the trees, toy soldier stilt walkers, Christmas carolers, decorations, festive treats, entertainment, and stores. This will get you in the holiday mood from November 8 – January 5, 2020.

Extravagantly decorated trees may be found in the following Disney themes.

There’s also Santa’s Chalet with a jolly Santa Claus and a Santa Goofy.  Or  join in Stitch’s Holiday Gift Hunt.

In Conclusion

There’s larger than life Christmas decor everywhere. This also means you will want to resort hop as each will be decorated in their own theme and have their own special events. Personal favorites include the sleigh ride at Fort Wilderness Resort, the gingerbread house at Grand Floridian and you will simply love the tree and the feel of Wilderness Lodge.

With all the parades, parties, entertainment, decorations, trees, carols, festive treats, and stores. I must say why not Christmas at Disney World.

Spread the love
