Disney Animal Kingdom top attractions abound. Do you live for thrilling attractions, amazing entertainment, and spectacular wildlife? Then the Disney Animal Kingdom is the perfect vacation spot for you.
Disney Animal Kingdom’s top attractions, adventures, and entertainment reflect Walt Disney’s dedication to nature and conservation. With more than 1,700 animals from 250 species sprawling across 500 acres of lush landscape, this is the largest animal theme park in the world.
The park consists of six themed areas. Oasis, Discovery Island, Pandora – The World of Avatar, Africa, Asia, and Dinoland U.S.A.
The 145-foot tall tree of life is the icon for Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. Over 300 animal carvings make this tree nothing short of amazing. Also. houses It’s Tough to be a bug. Fun 3D attraction. Not fun for all. May scare little ones or if bugs make your skin crawl…
Looking for the Disney Animal Kingdom top attractions? The newest top attraction is Disney Pandora – The World of Avatar. My favorite ride in all the Disney World theme parks is Avatar Flight of Passage. Climb upon your banshee and soar. Are you looking for a peaceful experience? Then you will want to take in the Na’vi River Journey.
Festival of the Lion King is one of the best shows at Walt Disney World. Draws large crowds. It is a must-see on my list of top attractions.
No visit is complete without including its top attraction, Kilimanjaro Safaris. Must for all ages. Heck, do it more than once. No two safaris are ever the same. Morning, afternoon, or evening.
Hot afternoon? Time for a good soaking. It can only mean Kali River Rapids.
Expedition Everest is the first stop for most. At least for me, that is. This is one of my favs for sure. Beware the Yeti! Not for the faint of heart.
Take a breather and enjoy (you will) Finding Nemo – the Musical. An adaptation of Disney – Pixar movie, Finding Nemo. Plus, its an air-conditioned theater. Win, win situation.
Ready for a wild and bumpy ride? Jump on the time rover and experience Dinosaur. Loud, dark, and scary. Need a more tame adventure? Try Primeval Whirl or Triceratop Spin for the little ones.
These are just some of the attractions. Let’s not forget the top attractions..the animals of course. Animals roaming their land can be found throughout this theme park. Slow down and take it all in.
If you can swing the cost. For a closer look… Wild Africa Trek tour is a must, You will see these spectacular creatures up close. Once in a lifetime experience.
Meet the macaws at the Winged Encounters show. You will find them near the Tree of Life.
Discover some of the most exotic birds with Russel and Dug at Up! A Great Bird Adventure.
Wilderness Explorers where the kids can follow in the footsteps of Russell and Dug from Pixar film Up! Over 30 badges for the kids to earn. Including Animal Find and Veterinary badges, amongst others. This will keep them entertained for quite a while. Actually, it may not get finished in just one visit.
Hungry? Looking for a character breakfast? Tusker House is for you. Another table service restaurant for lunch is Yak & Yeti Restaurant. There’s also Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes for counter service. Counter service you say? My personal fave for lunch is the Flame Tree Barbeque. I love pulled pork! Looking for out of the ordinary? Looking for healthy? Eat like the Na’vi at Satu’li Canteen in Pandora – the World of Avatar.
Your day has come to an end at Disney Animal Kingdom theme park?
It can only mean, its time for the tree of life to awaken. Like magic, the spirits of the animals come to life. The nighttime spectacular is Rivers of Light. The show is made up of lights, music, boats, floats, and water screens. Perfect of all the Disney Animal Kingdom top attractions to end your day with.
