In honor of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure opening tomorrow, June 13, 2019, I thought I would post the “Top 10 Roller Coasters in Orlando” list. I’m sure I’ll be updating this list really soon as Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure sounds like a winner to me.
The top ten roller coasters in Orlando each have something unique to offer the roller coaster enthusiast visiting the theme parks in Orlando. Starting with truly the biggest and fastest at SeaWorld Orlando and the uniquely themed innovative rides at Universal Orlando Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.
Another first for Orlando is this floorless roller coaster. It is a monster of a roller coaster. This beast will blow you away with it’s a smooth ride at 65 mph.
The top attraction at SeaWorld Orlando has to be Mako. The hyper coaster is known for high speeds (up to 73 mph), dives, and thrills galore. This is the tallest, fastest, and longest coaster in Orlando.
The only flying roller coaster in the whole state of Florida. Spin, glide, skim and fly through the ocean like a supercharged ray. Head-first, face-down nosedive! Oh yeah, I’m in!
Universal Orlando Resort
Islands of Adventure
The Incredible Hulk Coaster
You will instantly discover this is not your average roller coaster. Be prepared to be catapulted at speeds up to 67 mph and loop after loop. Feel the fury of the Hulk.
Universal Studios Florida
Harry Potter And The Escape From Gringotts
Being a Harry Potter fan I simply love the storyline of this ride. 21st-century steel indoor coaster is a favorite of mine starting with the queue. I do believe my favorite at Universal Orlando will be replaced soon with the opening of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
Turn on your music and be prepared to be blown away. Music and heart pumping. View your experience afterward by picture or music video. This ride became a record-breaker with the first non-inverting loop.
Revenge Of The Mummy
This may be an indoor coaster, but it is one scary indoor coaster. You will find yourself right in the middle of the Mummy movie’s biggest thrills. The attention to detail is amazing. This will become a favorite of yours if not already.
Walt Disney World Resort
The tallest mountain in Florida is man-made and you will find it at the Animal Kingdom. This mountain is home to the infamous Yeti. It has drops, turns, and even plummets backward. This a favorite thrill ride at Disney World for the whole family.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
This indoor coaster kicks it up a few notches. Traveling from 0-60 mph in under three seconds along with Aerosmith music…that’s what I’m talking about!
This attraction was cutting edge when it first opened on January 15, 1975. Almost completely in the dark indoor coaster. It’s a Magic Kingdom iconic attraction that many of us still consider a must-do ride.
Honorable mention goes out to Slinky Dog Dash at Hollywood Studios and Big Thunder Mountain along with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train found at the Magic Kingdom. Any of these would be perfect for the whole family to enjoy.
This is my top 10 roller coasters in Orlando list, at least for the moment. I expect these top ten to change very soon with the new and upcoming roller coasters.
As you can see all the major theme parks in Orlando have a roller coaster, except for Epcot. Expect that to change when the Guardians of the Galaxy coaster opens in 2021 at Epcot.
