Universal Studios Florida for Mardi Gras is the most spectacular celebration outside of New Orleans. Universal Studios Florida Mardi Gras will be taking place from Feb. 1 – Apr. 2, 2020, making this the 25th annual Mardi Gras celebration.
UPDATE: Dates for 2020 have been announced. Florida’s biggest party will be every night from Feb. 1 – Apr. 2.
This is one of my top Orlando attractions for sure. From the live concerts, spectacular parade, amazing stilt walkers, authentic Cajun food and lots of beads. Tons of Mardi Gras beads.
Dance along with the street performers and collect oodles of beads that are flying through the air from the parade floats. Floats are straight from the company that has designed the floats for the Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans since 1947.
Nightly parade returns this year with a new theme. Treasures of the Deep. There are six new floats inspired by the mystical creatures of the deep and the sunken city of Atlantis, along with fan favorites, the Riverboat and King Gator will return with an all-new look for celebrating the 25th annual Mardi Gras celebration.
Little ones will love it too. There’s a special unobstructed parade viewing area designed for them. The Little Jester’s Parade viewing area is located at the Brown Derby hat shop. Access is available an hour prior to the parade start.
When it comes to watching the parade or the concert. It’s really one or the other. Production Central is where to watch the parade from if you want to at least hear the concert at the Music Plaza stage without being up close.
For the very first time ever, Universal Orlando Resort has a Mardi Gras Tribute store. It consists of three different rooms: a small, jazz parlor entryway, right out of New Orleans’s French Quarter; a cemetery created after the legendary Lafayette Cemetery; and a bayou. All are highly detailed and will make for a highly immersive experience. Not to mention plenty of merchandise for purchase to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of Universal Studios Florida Mardi Gras.

Sounds and smells straight from the Big Easy will fill the French Quarter at Universal Orlando Resort.
